She’s so Flexible!

My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves this Barbie. She is still playing with it 4 weeks later. Barbie is articulated in her shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees. Her hair is in a set bun (which still looks great after all these weeks of play). She comes with 2 leotards and a sweat suit set. The batons, hoops, medal, and trophy are very useful accessories that help with the imaginative gymnastic program. The clip to put around her waist so she will flip is the only area which needs improvement. The clip is impossibly stiff. Trying to affix it while Barbie is dressed, can be done if set on a side then rotated to not go over the Velcro closure. My daughter could not get it on but I was able to. The clip has been abandoned. Barbie constantly is high flying and being set up on the balance beam. My daughter gives this set a 10/10. This Barbie has a lot of cute accessories, including a balance beam! My 4 year old loved changing her clothes, but had a little trouble getting the doll’s flexible arms through the sleeves! She also had trouble getting the clip on the doll’s waist to do “flips”. Overall, we would recommend this doll for any kids interested in gymnastics! This is the first Barbie my 4.5 year old daughter has ever received. She enjoys the Barbie and the balance beam, but doesn’t seem to care about all the little pieces (like the banana and the water bottle, etc.). She will likely “grow into” playing with all of those tiny parts. The doll itself is well-made and it is cool that it can bend in so many places – very different from the Barbies I grew up with! My daughter absolutely loves the gymnastics Barbie! Although the packaging was large, it was a perfect layout to get my daughter excited from the start- seeing the doll on the balance beam.
